Brazilian footwear exports total more than US$ 219 million in the two-month period

Data prepared by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) indicate that, in the first two months of the year, 26.77 million pairs were shipped, which generated US$ 219.78 million, a decrease of 2.9% in volume and an increase of 5.1% in revenue compared to the same period last year.

Footwear companies have invested more than €185 million in advertising in 2022 in Germany

Shoe manufacturers accounting for the lion’s share, according to the Werbemarktanalyse Schuhe 2023 - AdVision survey. Paolo Conte operated 81 stores and was among the largest retailers of medium-priced footwear in Russia. The bankruptcy laid bare the problems of footwear retailers with revenues of up to 4 billion rubles (50 million euros), which are currently suffering due to rising costs and declining customers. They are also at a disadvantage compared to manufacturers of counterfeit shoe brands which account for 30% of Russian imports, reaching 60% in the children's footwear segment.
