Turkish exporters count the cost of war

Representatives of Turkey’s leather industry have said the war in Ukraine has already had a considerable impact on its exports of finished leather products and footwear. [Turkish exporters count the cost of war – footwearbiz]

 

They said they hoped there would be a ceasefire soon in the month-old conflict, but pointed out that, even if this happens, restarting exports will take time.

They have estimated that the war is likely to cause a loss of business of around $700 million for Turkish exporters this year.
