The promotion of French values has found expression in the insertion of the stylised tricolor in the heel, made unique by a very modern design and the skilful use of a multi-coloured TPU mould. But Apego’s work was not limited to the study of the mould: “We also provided consultancy services for the construction and engineering of the uppers on the basis of the creative inspiration transmitted by the customer”, says Alessio Masera, sales manager of APEGO. “It is a product development service which certainly does not replace the core business of moulds, but which rewards the work and experience of my increasingly close-knit team. Today, moreover, it is inconceivable thinking to make footwear moulds without knowing how to fully manage the complexity of a project. In addition, knowing how to interpret the challenge of a new model well allows us to reduce the time needed to make the mould, to reduce the number of tests, and to make the production process much more efficient”, concludes Masera. And as we know, today reliability, as well as quality, is highly demanded.
