As part of the Balkan Project, agreed with ICE Agency, Assomac has realized from 22 to 27 October a mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina that has touched the areas of Banja Luka and Sarajevo.
The purpose of the mission was to verify the country's situation and start contacts with local institutions and businesses.
In the Banja Luka area, meetings were held with the Association of the Textile and Leather Industry, the Industry Section at the Ministry of Energy and Industry and finally the University of Banja Luka.
In the Sarajevo area, meetings were held with the Association of the Textile and Leather Industry, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mining, the Sarajevo Textile, Leather and Design School, and UTOK, a Private Association of Sarajevo Footwear Manufacturers.
One of the issues touched upon in the institutional meetings was the relationship between School and Industry.
The next stage of the ASSOMAC-ICE Agency Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be a mission of an expert for a technology check-up in some local shoe factories.
Subsequently, a delegation of country operators will be invited to SIMAC TANNING TECH 2018.
