Tanners may drop out of Pakistan Mega Leather Show
According to reports from Pakistan, the country's main representative body for leather manufacturers, the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), has decided not to continue its co-leadership of the Pakistan Mega Leather Show.
It shared organizing responsibilities for the ninth edition of the event, which ended in Lahore on Jan. 28, with the Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association. After the event, there were unconfirmed comments from PTA suggesting that this may have been its last time as co-organizer.
Instead, it may seek to launch a new event in Karachi in 2025, the Pakistan Footwear Materials Show, with proposed dates of April 11-13. The Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association may continue to host the Lahore event on its own.
