300+ exporting manufacturers and exhibition organisers are working to provide cutting-edge technological solutions to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
There are at least three good reasons not to miss Simac Tanning Tech 2019, the international exhibition of machinery and technology for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries, on from 20 to 22 February at Fiera Milano Rho.
Reason One: Simac Tanning Tech is the largest exhibition worldwide for these production sectors, hosting 300+ exhibitors, some major international players, on an area of approximately 19,000 net square metres.
Reason Two: As is the norm, Simac Tanning Tech runs concurrently with the spring edition of Lineapelle, the foremost exhibition for leather and the whole sector supplying materials, components and accessories for global fashion and luxury goods. It will be showing the style trends for the Spring/Summer 2020 season.
Together, these two events are the most informative showcase worldwide, allowing manufacturers of footwear and leather goods the world over to see state-of-the-art technological and stylistic solutions that meet all their manufacturing needs.
Reason Three: Simac Tanning Tech and Lineapelle are held in Milan, one of the global capitals of technology, design and fashion, a constantly evolving metropolis that is always looking to the future.
Continuing the growth trend of the last leather-sector technology exhibition, the 2019 event is already fully booked. “The pavilion spaces are already sold out – says Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, Simac Tanning Tech President– but the applications keep flowing in.”
Assomac Servizi CEO Amilcare Baccini has also confirmed that the approximately 19,000 m² space allocated to exhibitors has been filled and no more is available: “We still have applications from manufacturers eager to come to Milan but we are all sold out. No more space can be found. We have come up with alternative solutions that will yield more space but they can’t be implemented for this edition.”
The forthcoming Simac Tanning Tech will also look to the future and problems raised by energy and environmental issues, in particular. The exhibiting manufacturers are all working to come up with innovative solutions that place efficiency and reducing any environmental impact at the heart of their technological offer.
“Companies turned towards high-performing, safe and eco-friendly technologiessome years ago– continues Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, Simac Tanning Tech President – and will keep pursuing them. Indeed, within the framework of sustainable production processes, the leather processing sector has grasped the need to adopt eco-friendly means and machinery. Given this drive and with its commitment to transparency, ASSOMAC has developed the “Supplier of Sustainable Technologies” project, of which the Green Label is the first concrete step. It is a voluntary scheme in which a third-party company certifies the CFP (carbon footprint) of machinery manufactured by member companies. The forthcoming exhibition will offer companies joining the scheme an opportunity to display and explain this badge of sustainable technology made in Italy.”
As well as featuring the finest traditional technology, Simac Tanning Tech will also be showing new machinery functions such as digital printing on leather, mixing the textile world with 3D printing and incorporating Industry 4.0 – for machinery that is more interconnected and smarter.
The 300+ exhibiting companies and the Simac Tanning Tech organisation are in full swing to offer an optimum exhibition visit, in all senses.
