ABC Equipment & Solutions realizes equipment for storing, handling and moving materials in the leather industry. The company is in Prato, Italy, and the entire production process is carried out in-house, guaranteeing high quality Italian products in galvanised steel, with resistant plastic handles and anti-thread wheels.

Leather horse trolley
Ideal for handling hides in leather workshops, leather trolleys are used to handle hides in the cutting department. They are equipped with ergonomic plastic handles, anti-thread wheels for easy handling and an antistatic system to prevent operator shocks during use. The narrow structure makes them easy to manoeuvre around the company.
The leather trolleys can be customised both in terms of colour, with special powder coating, and in terms of dimensions, depending on the size of the leather used.
Case study: “We produced a leather horse trolley for a French upholstery company to handle 5m2 full hides, over 200 cm wide. The standard model was modified and customised as per the customer's request. The other characteristics remained unchanged.”
Horizontal cabinet for cutting dies
The horizontal cabinets are designed to manage and keep the cutting dies in order. The structure is galvanised steel, while the top shelf is made of white painted steel. They are equipped with full-extension ball-bearing slides and are available in two ranges: a 100 cm high range to be positioned next to the cutting machine, and a 140 cm high range to be positioned in the storage area.
Each drawer unit is equipped with the Stop&Go system that allows only one drawer to be opened at a time, avoiding tipping.
On request, it is possible insert a different combination with higher drawers for storing, for example, thread cones or spools, or request the cabinet painted in the colour of your choice.
Case study: "An Italian leather goods manufacturer that makes luxury goods requested us for a special cabinet with higher drawers and supports to insert the thread bobbins, protecting them from light and dust. The thread bobbins are placed standing upright in the drawers, immediately seeing the code of the thread needed for processing. The cabinet was customised with this particular combination of drawers and placed in the sewing department."
Roll trolley
The roll trolley is perfect for handling rolls of different materials, such as fabric, microfibre, salpa or reinforcements, in the cutting phase. The ideal position is near the CAD cutting centre.
The structure is narrow, and the rolls are arranged asymmetrically to occupy less space in the department. The trolley can handle up to 8 rolls and is equipped with anti-thread wheels.
It is possible to request the customised trolley by customising the size or number of rolls to be stored.
Case study: "An Italian cutting company asked us for a low roll trolley to be placed next to the automatic cutting table. We created a trolley with 3 tubes arranged asymmetrically and 1 longer upper tube to handle higher materials such as cartene. Perfect for those "mattress" processes where vacuum is needed, so as not to move the different materials. This trolley has been so popular in the market that it is now part of the ABC product range."
Work table
The work table adapts to every production stage in the company and is perfect for every leather business.
The structure is made of resistant steel, some parts are painted white, and others are galvanised to avoid scratches caused by the sliding of some parts of the table. It rests on 4 strong and adjustable plastic feet.
The table can be completed with accessories such as a tool drawer, lamp holder and LED lamp.
A tilting version of the table is also available for better analysis of the leather in the modelling department, before processing.
Again, the article can be customised in colour or dimensions, according to the needs of each customer.
Case study: "The request for a special work table came from a bag manufacturer in Scandicci who was looking for a table with wheels to position it more easily in the department in the event of layout changes. The technical department modified the standard model, inserting anti-thread wheels with brakes instead of feet."
