Integration of the (leather) supply chain between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan

The president of Kyrgyzindustry JSC, Zharasul Abduraimov, met with the general manager of the Brizbane Group of Companies (Pakistan) and Yiwu Bold Look Import & Export Co, Ltd (USA), Asif Muhammad Sulehri, according to reports from the newspapers   Trend and Kabar. It is a strategic initiative to recompose the value chain between the leather sector of Kyrgyzstan, restructuring inactive companies, the tannery and leather products sector of Pakistan and the brokerage of branches in China to finally export to the USA.

COVID-19 supply chain disruptions are weakening retail sales in China

Chinese manufacturing activity slowed this January, thanks to a return of COVID-19 and severe lockdowns that cut off supplies. The National Bureau of Statistics Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index fell to 50.1 from 50.3 in December.  Reuters reports that the PMI remained above 50 points, but government data contradicts a private survey, which shows that factory activity has declined at the fastest pace in 23 months.
