Turkish leather growing (+29%) with the contribution of BURSA DİKOSAB

Bursa Leather Specialization and Mixed Organized Industrial Zone (BURSA DİKOSAB) closed 2021 with growth, but aims to increase the tanning capacity of leathers to 500 tons. The OIZ will have an area of 355 hectares. DİKOSAB will expand the effluent treatment plant and open a solar power plant. Background: Footwearbiz data from Turkey shows leather sector export values of more than $1.75 billion in 2021, an increase of 29% over the previous year.

BANGLADESH: BSCIC DESIGNS 3 ZONES FOR TANNERIES EVEN IF THE EXISTING ONE IS NOT YET COMPLIANT

The Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC),  has planned to build three leather industrial areas, according to The Business Standard. These include complementary areas for mechanics, with the aim of creating more than four million jobs over the next five years.
