ASSOMAC participated from the beginning (1993) the work of the European Technical Committee TC 201, which had the aim of drawing up safety standards for the shoe and leathergoods machines industry. These harmonized standards provide solutions for compliance and confer a presumption of conformity with the European Machinery Directive.
8 Working Groups were composed which have been involved in the draft rules concerning the most significant from the point of view of safety shoe and leathergoods machines.
