Bauce 1970, leader in the tanning market for over half a century

The ever-growing company is a leader in the tanning industry, specialized in the design, construction and sale of wet-blue presses and through feed sammying and setting out machines.

Despite the slowdown caused by the pandemic, its investment plan in terms of technology and performance improvement never stopped; this will guarantee the company further development also in terms of exports.

BAUCE’s successful entrepreneurial history is a striking example in terms of continuity and corporate growth. As a matter of fact, the firm was established in 1970 by Attilio Bauce, who, at just 23, chose to kick off an enterprise revolving around the development and manufacturing of sammying and setting out machinery. The founder still comes every day to the company together with his son Luca and daughert Sabrina; the third daughter, Michela, deals with the management of human resources as well as of the administration and financial departments. The third generation already works in the company – namely Luca Bauce’s son, and other cousins may enter the following years.

Since the very first years, BAUCE has been a byword of research and development, essential elements to guarantee customers utmost performance and constant growth over time. This group owes its market competitiveness not only to a very close family team but also to qualified engineers, technicians and operators who, together with the owners, have interpreted the style of the brand, gradually facing the challenges of the market and of the Arzignano district, that, in the meantime, has grown rapidly, becoming one of the most important in the world.

Great attention has always been paid to sustainability: Bauce was among the first companies in the sector to obtain several certifications, such as the ISO (in 2001) and then the Vision; these have been burdensome investments but they made it possible to undertake a “green” path, particularly effective both inside and outside the company, an essential result for all brands, in particular those of fashion and automotive. In 2018, Bauce equipped all of its systems for the production of its machines with Industry 4.0 technical specs; it recently adapted its quality management system to UNI EN ISO 9001.

Another significant step in the company’s history dates back to 2019 when the family bought and then relaunched a prestigious brand in the tanning sector, the well-known Officine RM, a company founded in 1974 in Bologna, boasting a sales power of hundreds of machines, distributed all over the world. After the acquisition of the business branch, all the machinery and the entire production of Officine RM was moved to the Vicenza area to be integrated into the company and brought to the highest quality standards.
