320 exhibitors, brands and institutions on 15,000 m2 of surface area in two entirely covered pavilions with over 8,000 tickets issued for the most important trade fair in the sector which opens today at Rho Fiera Milano until 21 of September.
Milan, 19 September 2023 – The 2023 edition of Simac Tanning Tech starts today and runs until 21 September, the most important international trade fair in the sector by virtue of an offer characterized by the highest quality of machinery and technologies for the fashion system, automotive and furniture. The sector event, unique at a global level, promoted by Assomac, the Association of Italian producers of technologies for the processing of leather, footwear and leather goods, saw at its inauguration, in addition to the presence of the Assomac President Maria Vittoria Brustia, the Central Director for export sectors of ITA-Agenzia Maurizio Forte and the President of Federmacchine Bruno Bettelli.
The event - the only one in the sector that involves the physical presence of the machinery - takes place annually in Milan in the pavilions of FieraMilano (Rho) and brings together multi-sectoral players who, again in this edition, will meet in pavilions 14 and 18. The international and Italian visitor will easily be able to "touch" the solution closest to their needs among the most relevant topics such as artificial intelligence, digital communication, flexibility, traceability, recycling solutions. These will be just some of the process application proposals, the result of the innovative capacity of companies, all proposals aimed at supporting the sustainability objectives which are at the center of the global debate on the next frontiers of productivity. The ST-Simac and Tanning Tech exhibition halls have represented, for about fifty years, a long history of success of Italian expertise in technological innovation, which since 2007 has been realized in a single exhibition event simultaneously with Lineapelle and the main events of the Micam and Mipel sector.
The multi-year collaboration of activities with ITA-Agenzia has allowed it to promote and increase its international value thanks to the numerous presence of representatives and delegates from the main global production platforms. A fundamental partnership for the precious support to exhibiting companies which are present with their products in over 130 countries. The networking created with ITA-Agenzia and the associations representing the countries involved and the main producers will broaden the audience with strong repercussions on global business. On the occasion of the 49th edition of ST, over 20 international delegations will be present with around 100 institutional delegates and sector operators, of which a significant part will also be present at the 21st International Congress of footwear technicians UITIC, an event returning to Italy after 25 years and the pandemic suspension.
21 exhibiting countries spread over approximately 15,000 m2 between two pavilions of Fiera Milano will participate in the 49th edition of Simac Tanning Tech, for over 320 brands, of which 27% of foreign origin, coming from the most important global markets in the sector.
