Justice Warns 19 Tanneries for Non-payment of Contribution for CETP Development

District Justice of the Peace Neha Sharma issued warning to 19 tanneries of Kanpur for not paying their contribution for the development of a 20 million litre/day common effluent treatment plant (CETP). [DM warns 19 tanneries for non-payment of contribution for CEPT .. – Times of India]

 

 

The DM warned tanneries of issuing a restoration certificates towards them in the event that they did not pay their contribution.

Nineteen tanneries havw not paid the primary and second instalments of their contribution. A 20 MLD CETP is being constructed at Jajmau to deal with the tannery waste earlier than its discharge within the Ganga.

The tanneries of Kanpur are contributing their share in development in instalments.

The defaulter tanneries are Allied Leather-based & Leather-based Prod, Asia Tannery, Crow Tanners, Daybreak (Don) tanning, Euroasia Leathers Ltd, Firoz Ki Tannery, Gazala Tannery, Globe Leather-based Finishers, Guljar Abroad, Imperial Leather-based Finishers, Jishan Buying and selling Firm, Laeek Tanners, Lari Tannery, Sabra Leathers, Star Leather-based Enterprises, Swan Tanning, Tajammul Ki Tannery, United Province Tanners, and Zaz Tannery.
