On 26, 27 and 28 June, the 106th edition of Efica, the important national footwear exhibition organized by the Argentine Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC), took place in Buenos Aires. ike every year, the great event took place at the Costa Salguero Center in the city of Buenos Aires. In total, more than 150 footwear companies with more than 300 brands participated, presenting the latest trends in design through their spring-summer 2022/23 collections.
In addition, on this occasion the CIC organized together with the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency the Round of International Footwear Buyers, which was held within the framework of Efica 106 and where foreign merchants were invited to join.
During the fair, the brand new Minister of Productive Development of Argentina, Daniel Scioli, visited, who highlighted the performance of footwear production in the country.
“In 2015, 125 million pairs of shoes were produced in Argentina, then with the previous government that number was reduced by half. Last year it was possible to reach 107 million pairs and, this year, with the purchase orders that producers already have for the next season, they estimate to exceed the 2015 mark," the minister explained.
