Destroying PFAS by grinding it up with a new additive
For their non -stick properties, stain -resistant and waterproofing, PFAS perfluoroalchilics are used very much in the finishing of textile and tanning products. Researchers of the ACS Environmental Science & Technology Letters destroy PFAS found in soils by grinding them with metal balls and boron nitride, thanks to a new type additive for “ball milling” that completely breaks down PFAS at ambient temperature and pressure.
